Lucie Horváth Sedláčková
My name is Lucie Horváth Sedláčková and boxing was love at first sight for me. When I first saw it on TV as an eight-year-old girl, I couldn't take my eyes off it. Something inside me told me right then that this is exactly where I belong. I had no idea yet how many obstacles, falls, victories, and life lessons awaited me, but I knew I had found my path.
For many years, I represented the Czech Republic, and at the age of twenty, I signed my first professional contract in Germany. Boxing opened the door to the world for me – I lived in England, later secured a contract in Monaco, and had the opportunity to experience top-level sports from different angles. During my career, I won the WBC Youth World Champion title, the WBO European Champion title, and the WBC Silver belt in the featherweight division. In 2024, I also took part in the Olympic qualifying tournament, where I had the opportunity to compete against some of the world's top female boxers.
Yet, titles were never the most important thing to me. Boxing shaped me, sport raised me. It taught me discipline, humility, courage, and responsibility for my own life.
In my opinion, combat sports are the most beautiful metaphor for life. You cannot hide anything in the ring. Every weakness, every doubt, but also strength, willpower, and character are visible there. The ring doesn't lie. It shows you who you really are, and at the same time, it gives you the opportunity to become a better version of yourself.
When I was starting out, I was often the only girl in the gym. That makes me want even more today to be proof that it doesn't matter where you come from or how big your dream seems to be. If you are willing to believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up, absolutely anything is possible.
Because every dream is real if you can fight for it.

Štěpán Horváth
My boxing and everything that happens in the ring is taken care of by Štěpán Horváth. We spend countless hours training together, and I am very glad that he is the one standing by my side. Štěpán has had an exceptionally successful career – he is a five-time amateur and two-time professional champion of the Czech Republic, as well as the WBO European Champion in the super welterweight division. After ending his active career, he fully dedicated himself to coaching and passes on his extensive experience. I deeply appreciate that he is my coach and guide on my sports journey.
What I value most about Štěpán is his ability to combine vast experience with a human approach. He knows exactly what top-level sports entail because he has walked this path himself. Every training session pushes me further, whether technically, tactically, or mentally. He often sees things I would overlook myself and can find solutions even in situations when things don't go as planned. Thanks to his experience, consistency, and trust, I know I have someone by my side whom I can rely on at any time.
And since Štěpán is also my husband, boxing is a part of our lives practically every day. Training advice doesn't end when we leave the gym, and we often talk about boxing at home as well. I am glad that I don't just have a great coach by my side, but also a person who supports me, believes in me, and stands by me in every situation.
Mgr. Martin Jelínek
I have been working with Martin Jelínek for many years, and during that time he has become one of the most important parts of my team. Martin is a nutrition specialist and educator who has been dedicated to nutrition for 30 years, and through the educational system www.kurzyatac.cz, he passes on his experience to thousands of students.
He has long been setting up and managing my diet so that it matches the intensity of my training, recovery, and primarily the needs of my body. I studied Sports Nutrition under him, so our collaboration is not just based on recommendations, but also on a shared view of how nutrition works in practice.
In the last three years, he has also been involved in my physical preparation. And this combination is, in my opinion, a huge advantage. Martin doesn't just focus on the meal plan or the number on the scale; he sees the big picture. He can connect nutrition with training, monitor the body's reactions under high stress, and help me fine-tune my weight, performance, and recovery so that everything works at the right time.
In top-level sports, details often make the difference. And the ability to have control over training, nutrition, and the metabolic setup of the body is something I value most about our collaboration. Martin is not just an expert to me, but also a person I trust and whom I can rely on at any time.
